| Cooper and Turner began life in the 1800's when Joseph and James Turner founded a gun barrel business in Birmingham.
Having expanded the business into other areas, including rivet production, the company was amalgamated with Henry Cooper & Co in 1912.
Soon after production was moved to Sheffield and the company found themselves supplying products for a wide range of applications from battleships to Model T Fords.
In the 1960's the company invented the 'Coronet' direct tension indicator, this product soon established them as the market leader in structural bolting and High Strength Friction Grip fasteners.
Strategic acquisitions throughout the 70's and 80's saw the company acquire specialist cold forge production facilities and expand its portfolio to include rail and mining products.
Today Cooper and Turner are part of the Andaray Group of companies and are one of Europe's leading manufacturers of bolts, nuts and washers for the rail, tunnelling, wind energy and structural bolting industries.
