| High strength squirter assemblies (HSSA's) are a fast, easy to use and efficient construction fastening system.
Consisting of bolts and nuts that conform to BS4395 part 1 (the spline fits standard installation tooling) and a 'Squirter' direct tension indicator. The performance of the 'Squirter' complies fully with the requirements of BS7644 part 1, grade 1.
'Squirters' are a direct tension indicator with flexible silicone embedded in the depressions under the indicator protrusions. Simply fit them as you would a standard DTI, once you start tightening, orange silicone begins to appear, when it apears in volume from most of the squirt locations stop tightening. You have visual confirmation that accurate shank tension has been achieved and and you can move on to the next assembly.
