Spear bolts and the accompanying cast-in sockets fulfil the same function as curved bolts (permanently fix concrete tunnel segment) whilst being easier to install. A major advantage of the spear bolt is that following installation only one pocket per bolt requires finishing.

Cooper and Turner manufacture a complete range from M16 to M30 diameters. Lengths can be made to suit customer requirements.

Both mild steel 4.6 and high tensile 8.8 strength grades are available in either a galvanized or sherardized finish.
